I CARE Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect and
Excellence are our core values and are source of the acronym ICARE. This
philosophy drives every decision and inspires every action in our pursuit of the
best patient care possible. It’s what sets us apart from other medical centers
and is the reason for our consistent ranking among the country’s top
hospitals.
| YOU CARE Our care shows in how we reach out to the communities in
which our employees live. A portion of the You Care program is our Rush Employee
Community Grant Program. This is how we help support the volunteer activities of
our employees. Grants may be awarded to support an employee's volunteer
efforts with a non-for-profit, human services organization without religious or
political affiliation. The grant is for any of our employees who:
-have been employed by Rush for the last 12 months
-have not had any disciplinary action in their employee file in the last 12 months
-have received a performance appraisal rating of three or higher on their last performance review.

| WE CARE Because our employees work with such dedication to care for
our patients and our community, we’ve developed the We Care program. One part of
this is the Employee Emergency Fund Program. We’ve created this because we
understand that our employees may need extra help in difficult situations. Be it
a personal crisis or a natural disaster, we give employees a helping hand when
they need it most.
All Rush employees are eligible for this program.
Funds can be awarded for unexpected medical costs, rent, mortgage or utilities
after a personal crisis or natural disaster in which an employee’s income has
been compromised.
