Rush University Medical Center is excited to have begun its most comprehensive construction and facilities renovation in the 170-year history of our hospital. The work will take place over nine years and aims to provide greater accessibility for those with disabilities and to incorporate environmentally sustainable practices. Among the additions to the campus is a 222,000-square-foot orthopedic ambulatory care building, as well as a new inpatient hospital wing. We will be renovating the Atrium and Kellogg buildings, constructing a parking garage, and even putting up a power plant for the Rush campus—all with the goal of providing safer, more efficient care for our patients and the most cutting edge resources for our staff.
